Hi , I'm Valeria

(va-luh-ree-uh)

I'm a proud-born + raised Texan! I began my photography journey in 2013, first taking senior portraits and then purchasing my first "professional" camera in 2016, but it wasn’t until spending a semester abroad in the Netherlands, that I realized it was meant to be more than just a hobby.

If I'm not behind a camera, you can find me at church or home editing away, having movie marathons with my husband Gabriel, or playing with my fur babies Kylo & Finn - yep! star wars fans ;)

Let's get creative together!

A few of my favorite quotes from legendary portrait photographers.

I fight to take a good photograph every single time." - Annie Leibovitz

The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.

- Dorothea Lange

FUN FACTS:

  • I'm a list-taker maniac (I have to do list for everything, ask my husband haha)
  • Happiest when: I'm binge-watching The Little House on the Prairie and eating Chick Fil A.
  •  I'm a sucker for taking photos of everything, I'm what they call an "over-shooter" to the max (no...like literally, I will probably take over 5,000 photos on your wedding day), find the best steals at thrift stores, & if I had a back up job it would be an analyst/researcher. I've always been the point of contact for searching and planning things out - I'm your gal!
  • I'm expecting! March 2024, my husband and I will be parents to our sweet baby boy!

WHAT LED YOU TO THE NAME VALERIA GRACE?

Valeria is obviously my name, and Grace was my sisters name. I I always knew I wanted her to be part of my photography journey - that's how I came up with Valeria Grace. I love it!

Grace: beauty of movement or expression

My hope is that my photographs capture grace at every session, because if there's one thing you can take away from this site, it's that I would not be where I am today if it weren't for God's unfailing love, grace, and mercy --every ounce of talent or success truly comes from Him.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for man, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

(Colossians 3:23-24)
